The artifact I selected is a lesson plan for my English 11 class that focuses on analyzing themes in The Great Gatsby. This artifact aligns with Domain 1e because it demonstrates coherent sequencing of activities, clear instructional objectives, and opportunities for student collaboration.
Analysis
For this lesson, I implemented backward design to develop an effective, engaging lesson. The backbone of my lesson plan is explicit alignment to USBE standards for ELA instruction. (Utah State Board of Education, 2023)
